Fiction. Romance. Humor (Fiction.) HTML:

Time is the final book in the Laws of Physics Trilogy.

A (brokenhearted) physicist.

Now an infamous (who is LITERALLY EVERYWHERE!! UGH!) musician.

The worst has already happened.

Mona has learned that she has nothing figured out and plans are meaningless. After leaving her in Aspen, Abram is now breaking sales-records, rising to rock star fame almost overnight. Mona can't seem to escape him. He is literally everywhere, or at least images of him are.

Just when she thinks things can't get any more confusing, Abram returns . . . What happens next? Only TIME will tell.

I'm going to write one review for all three books in this series because it's really just one long book anyway.

I enjoyed the story. The writing as always with PR is good. I liked both the hero and the heroine. There were some really interesting and fun parts. I particularly enjoyed the DO NOT BURN letters. I bought into the feelings they had for each other. The story arc was believable over all.

My reaction probably suffers a bit from a sincere lack of interest in rock stars and perhaps a bit more angst mightn't have come amiss.

I did wait until all three books were out before I started the series because I know how I am. I would just rather read the whole thing at once. ( )

Abram and his band are now rock stars and Mona is... well, still a nerdy genius. But they're determined to make their relationship work long-distance. But, and it's a big one, Mona needs to resolve some issues.
It's a very satisfying conclusion to their story. Also, it's nice to see some other of Ms. Reid's characters: Abram was in Kaitlyn's band in the first part of the series, and Marie from Knitting in the City series is Abram's sister. Now, if only a few Winston brothers had shown up! ( )

This is the best of the three.
I loved it. 💞💕💖❤.
It was funny, really funny, and sweet and a brooding besotted Hero, which is so refreshing.
They are all about each other, no flirting or cheating.
There are a few vague offers thrown in for Abram, due to his lifestyle but he has no interest in anyone other than Mona.
This book is still slow burn, as although they want to be together, they have to work out how to do that as book 2 highlighted they are travelling in different directions, location wise, in their careers.
Mona has a few issues with her family, that were raised in previous books, to sort out.
Mona does have an issue with an event that took place in her past and because of that, although no details are mentioned, she does refer to previous sexual partners, no names or anything like that but it's part of her problem with intimacy.
There are plenty of secondary characters that could have their own story lines in future books.
There are mentions and appearances from characters that have appeared in other series by this author, esp The Knitting series as Marie is Abram's sister.

There is a HEA in the sense that you know their plans and they are happy together. ( )

Here I think Penny Reid did Abram particularly well, as well as distance. Having been in a distance relationship I can confirm time is anxiety-inducing, there's never enough of it, and it feels like having your heart break a each time. I enjoyed that part of this book. Unfortunately, that's also what this book felt about.

I also think I'm just over her Janie-Kaitlyn-etc characters.

I also don't love capitalization for emphasis or text talk (in novels, I know I'm a horrible offender). I have no problem with modern language use, but things like "Its me. I'm the one who..." from a character's internal thoughts don't ring true, particularly when a character avoids social media, and
thinks to herself that she's "administered blow jobs" or "procured condoms" which I also found distracting.

Abram did tip into suffocating for me, a bit, though I love a open-hearted and tender hero, the therapy-like getting to know you sessions were one-sided, and in the end, Mona never felt fully realized for me.

Honestly, their picket fence conversation was *chef's kiss* though.

But from here on out, I'm going to do what I've been doing since the final Winston Bros novella & novel, and largely ignore her new releases (indeed, I'll likely spare myself the rest of the rereads too). This did not need to be a trilogy, for it was neither everyday nor close characterization. And it was one book.

It was excess explanation, weird conversations, and problematic story plotting. 2 for this book, 2.6 for the series. Have to admit, the humor is no longer working well either. ( )

I have book hangover. I don't think I've ever read a series so fast and furious. Ms. Reid was heartless with her extreme cliffhanger endings. I am sleep deprived, nutritionally unbalanced, I've been living on ice cream and chips, can't stop to cook ! and behind on my real life work. It was so worth it. Finally Moma and Abram got ..... omg seriously you think I'd tell you. HAHA. Read the series, it's toe curling, heart wrenching, fun. ( )
