What a drag! Half way through and going to put this aside. After 200 pages this story is simply going around in circles. Duh ( )

Five absolutely amazing stars.

I loved this book so much I want to go back to two days ago and read and experience it again.

I loved the characters, they were complicated and not at all annoying (like other contemporary romances).

Carter took my heart in like the second chapter. And I loved every single page written about him. I love the bad-boy-falls-for-good-girl cliche and this book was just one of the best. He was a strong character, naughty and mischievous, but funny, caring, and loving as well, so he took everything a girl can dream of. He is probably in my Top 5 of best book boyfriends.

Zoey was pretty fun to read too, absolute badass, she wasn't some stupid, innocent, and weak heroine. She was brave and smart, and know what she wanted. It was pretty inspiring reading the first few chapters with her. She didn't let people hurt her, she could protect herself, and she actually could think. I loved her.

The story was amazing, the chemistry was top level, and the steaminess was the absolute right amount. I loved that actually the book didn't go the typical way, where at around the 80th% the couple breaks up, and both leave with broken hearts. I love how determined Carter was and how he never cheated and promised to not break her heart. Their dynamic was so interesting to read, and I could take my gaze away from the book.

The end was absolutely perfect and melted my heart. I love it and I loved every single word, page, and chapter. I will truly miss them, but I really hope these fictional characters have an amazing and lovely life together.

Hot and angsty

I loved the beginning. Super hot! I wanted to drown in the emotion of it all. Then it cooled down. The insecurities of Zoey amped up the angst levels. When I read angst, I get cranky. I barely made it through the second half. Four stars for the first half. Two stars for the second half. Not an enjoyable read for me. ( )

I dnf this one half way.

The start of the story is catching and leaves you wide eye! But I couldn’t get pass the attempts of making the male leads actions justified in any form. Sexually assault the way it is portrayed in the beginning of this book is not ok. And while I can at some level get passed that. What really bothered me was the fact that it was somewhat easily let go between the characters.

But I will admit that the way the characters explore the reasons behind the actions of the male lead is quite curious.
