This is a cute book where Caillou introduces us to his family including his sister, parents and grandparents. He also take us through his day from getting up, getting dressed, eating, brushing his teeth, going to daycare and playing with his little sister and his parents before going to bed. There is also a short bit about his parents trying to pick his name before he is born. A very simple story that young children would be able to identify with and compare their own lives to. This could be used as a bedtime story or one where you are trying to teach your child about family members and their names and relationship. A good addition to a family library or to use in a daycare of kindergarten classroom. The publisher generously provided me with a copy of this book via Netgalley. A first-ever look at the origins of Caillou, the lovable four-year old who has been inspiring generations of preschool children to grow emotionally by learning, having fun and using their imagination. In this lighthearted and intimate book, Caillou introduces himself and shares the details of his young life: his family, his world, his daily routine. Author Christine L'Heureux, who cocreated the character more than 25 years ago, chronicles the beginnings of her treasured character with tenderness and apparent delight. Illustrator Kary captures all the warmth and emotion that are the hallmarks of Caillou's early years. Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |
