This didn't really work for me. Story not exciting, too many details I don't want, and narrator just wasn't right.

She was going to convert her family home in New Orleans to a B&B. Everyone else succumbed to the attraction of the Big Easy including the romance that they all found there, but Nydia was hesitant. She had finally broken up with her no-good musician boyfriend and felt she wanted to stay in NYC but when she met Lamar Pierce while serving as Jasmine's maid of honor, New Orleans now had a greater appeal. She might have found a new forever home.

I loved this series and how each book centered on one of the ladies. These romances weren't about the young because each of the ladies was well-past the age of consent, but the stories are woven magnificently. Sorry to see the series end. ( )
