This book just reminds me of all those classic nursery rhymes and poems that I heard as a little kid. Its a pretty big collection, some of them I haven't even heard of. There are lots of big illustration that can really make kids laugh. The combination of the poems being such simple reads and those illustrations it will definitely be an enjoyable read for young children. ( ) I was not a fan of this collection, the one I read my children is much nicer. Although the words are bigger and the pictures taking up most of the page so I can see why it would be a collection for a young child. I was not a fan of the pictures either. I think that there would be another collection out there that i would add to my classroom for an introduction to Mother Goose. Summary: Very nice collection of Mother Goose rhymes. The pictures have a modern twist to some of them. The book is large and has full color illustrations that will delight young readers. Reflection: There is a nice author's note at the beginning of the book that tells a little history of Mother Goose. There is an index of first lines that is a nice resource to find poems from your childhood. This would be a nice addition to very young person's library. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
