This is such a sweet book and it is one that both parents and children will love. The bright illustrations are perfect for grabbing a little one's attention and this edition is a board book so the sturdy pages are perfect for little fingers to grab and hold. Best of all, the words express perfectly the emotions that all parents feel when they have a new baby and the rhyming words sound like a lullaby as they are being read. My granddaughter is now six but she still likes to be reminded just how special she is in our lives.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. There was no obligation to write a positive review and I am voluntarily sharing my honest opinions. ( )

The Day Everything Changed!

Have you experienced the difference a new child makes in your life? If so, remember how the world around you was transformed. Suddenly, the universe looks different, everything is seen and heard in a new way, your outlook shifts, and life is never the same. Such are some of the changes and joy that a new parent feels with the addition of a baby.

The author recalls the day her world changed saying, “this is such a special book to me, because it's based on the true story of the day my eldest son was born. It felt as if all creation rejoiced with me!” Ms. Nellist has written a lovely book that describes the differences that took place in her world after the birth of her son. She uses rhyming verse to express the feelings of wonder, awe and blessing a new life brings—all presented in an oversized hard-backed volume with colorful illustrations on every page.

The Queen of England liked this so much she stated, "The Wonder That is You will make the perfect gift for Archie Harrison's christening next month, and also, the flowers on the cover just happen to match my favorite yellow suit. I couldn't resist reaching out to British author Glenys Nellist and her team at Zonderkidz to request a copy of my own. Now I just have to get Phil to help me wrap it."

Read this to your child so they know the joy and delight they bring to life. Just like her Majesty, you too can gift this to anyone with a new addition in their life. I recommend sharing this 5-star book with the prized little one in your life!

Zonderkidz and the author have provided bookreadingtic with a complimentary copy of The Wonder That is You! for the purpose of review. ( )

In her latest children’s book, Glenys Nellist captures the awe, excitement, and love that accompanies the birth of a new baby. The rhyming verse and the beautifully detailed illustrations in The Wonder That Is You vividly relate the unique creation that is every child. My family is welcoming a new member in a few months, and I think this book will become a favorite in the new arrival’s library. One of my favorite things is that the mother/baby pictures are very diverse, making this book perfect for every family. So if you are looking for a gift for parents-to-be or a new baby, you definitely need to check this one out.

Highly Recommended.

Audience: children and families

A nice book to share with young children. All the many ways to say to a child how happy you are to be their parent. I appreciated the diversity of the mother-child images, and how magical it all seems. ( )
