It has more pictures and little text therfore children would be more attracted to doing a little research of this time period. It starts with world war 1 and has different events leading up to world war 2. It goes through Women's rights, African American's rights, the first car, the great depression, migrants, sports events, Babe Ruth, Franklin Roosevelt, and changes around the war. It also has a glossary at the end. If a teacher is doing a unit on this time it would be a great book to have for students to use a primary source. ( ) geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
Onderdeel van de reeks(en)Primary Source Readers (The 20th Century Spanish)
The years between World War I and World War II were years of change and reform. This enlightening title discusses some of the most prominent events during this time, including the Harlem Renaissance, a rise in new literature and entertainment, suffrage, the stock market crash on "Black Tuesday", and the Great Depression. The authentic images, colorful scrapbook layout, and easy-to-read text work in conjunction with an accessible glossary, index, and engaging sidebars to intrigue readers as they read through the pages of this book.
