Op dit moment geen Discussie gesprekken over dit boek. ![]() ![]() MacKenzie was the only reporter inside the Bastogne during the siege. During the siege, he kept detail records of events, briefings and conversations recorded in this book. He witnessed the mayhem of war and the effect on men under siege. As well, he recorded the clashes between officers who under stress and fear would sometimes make their feelings about the situation and colleagues known to others. This is not the book to read for an understanding of the battle of the Bulge for this is mainly about the siege of Bastogne. The forward is written by the General McAuliffe, the officer in charge in Bastogne and famous for his answer of "Nuts!" to the German general who asked him to surrender. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
