This book would be good for introducing time in younger children. A good fun book to read before you start he lesson. The pictures are fun and bright and larger than life. I wanted a little more from the book maybe a few fats about telling time. But other than that it was pretty decent. ( )

This is a story of a boy waiting for his mom to be done shopping. He is waiting so long he things hes been there for hours, then days, then weeks! He eventually thinks he's been waiting his whole life but his mom finally comes back and that was just the first place she has stopped to shop at.

This is a story about how Johnny and his mother went to the department store and how long she took. Johnny thought his mother took so long that he started to grow hair on his chin and even have kids. This story goes to show you that when people say just a minute it may mean hours, months or even years. I think this would be a good way to tell children the importance of being on time and aware of time.

I admit, this book was a little boring for me. The illustrations were too cluttered and overwhelmed the story. I was lost in the transition from one stage to the next. I will not read again. ( )

Johnny goes shopping with his mom and she leaves him in a department store with his Aunt while she does some shopping. Poor Johnny gets stuck in the department store for what seems a life time, where he experiences all stages of his life, when finally his mom comes back and tells him to hurry up because she has more shopping to do. Colored pencil, acrylic, dye and ink provide great scenes that go on in Johnny’s mind. Davis does an excellent job displaying Johnny’s face, expressions and reactions as he experiences each thought of time.
