That's really all I have to say. But not really, so I'll keep talking. Fruits Basket has always been very heavy on the cheerful heroine and troubled characters, so it's never been my favorite just because it's... so much, I guess. That's not to say I don't enjoy it, because I definitely do. For this volume in particular, what definitely made the whole thing for me was Akito's unveiling at the very end. That was just freaky. Akito is definitely one of the scariest "villains" (is he a villain?) I've ever encountered. The drama ramps up a bit in this volume as Akito practices his sadistic and demoralizing bent on various members of the Zodiac, especially Kyo. We also get to meet the last two members of the Zodiac, the horse and the rooster. This was an interesting volume and I liked the angsty drama. It really is about time Kyo and Yuki draw conclusions about their feelings for Tohru although I'm quite torn to think she may wind up having to choose between them. That is, if it is all possible for her to make any sort of a decision considering her bubbleheaded personality. I do like the conclusion she finally comes to after her encounter with Akito, although it does lead to the question of what a normal schoolgirl could possibly do to confront a god. I'm curious to continue on and see how it all works out. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
