The point of the book about being able to see time and history from a broad perspective. That is there has been 13.8 billion years in the past and a vast time in the future. We typically do not have a perspective that keeps this in mind. Also, the author discusses the lack of appreciation for the potential loss of knowledge when specialists die. If preparation is not made to protect and propagate the knowledge much can be lost. The problem with the book is that these concepts are provided in the context of the author’s experience in Finland with personnel that plan long term solutions to disposal of radioactive waste. The details of his experience, interactions, and people is not of interest. ( ) geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
