This is a nonfiction book all about frogs and the development of frogs. This book is very educational and I would use this in my classroom for students to browse and look through. I would even consider using it in a science unit about how animals develop! ( ) This book pairs bright green pages and sparse, oversized text with close-up photographs of the different stages of development for tadpoles. The photos are large and well detailed, and clearly show what is described in the book. The greens and oranges dominate the color scheme and make the book more inviting, and the simple vocabulary and short length make it perfect for beginning readers. The last page even has tips for how to incorporate the book into a real lesson by going to the library and researching the subject, and exploring nature in ponds. The brightness and clarity will engage readers, and the facts in the book are presented accurately, in a way that children can understand. It's a great introduction to both the natural world and nonfiction books. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
