From the beginning, this was clearly a meticulously researched, structured work striving for as much completeness as possible. I have nothing but respect for that. Unfortunately I realized quickly I do not have enough background context and detailed interest to read this for pleasure. DNF and only noted here for myself, should I forget and want to come back to it. A well wrote an impartial and thorough analysis of Tibet and its relationship with China. The writer has scavenged through volumes of documents and literature to provide a trustable account of the facts about Tibet. In spite of the risk of making the book monologue, he has kept his writing interesting. It is worth a read for people who want to read authentic facts in an interesting manner. A well-researched and through history on the status of Tibet since 1947. The book is written in a rather academic style, so if one is unfamiliar with any history on Tibet it might be easier to start with another book. It is an excellent addition to the diplomatic and political history surrounding Tibet. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
