The artwork is vibrant, big, and entertaining; full of details that will draw young pre-readers back to the book time and again. The text, though is tailor-made for beginning readers with brilliant alliteration of the activities on each page. Tongue twisters that make each snippet of the story interactive.
I read this as an e-book and that format might be a quick fix to keep kids occupied at a crucial moment, but I think that having a print copy on hand would be far more accessible to little ones.
The only thing that makes this book "for boys" is that all the characters have boy names. Girls would enjoy this book for all the same reasons mentioned above. However, I do believe that this book would make a wonderful gift for fathers of boys, especially dads who don't get much time to read to their kids. I fully agree with the author's dedication and endorsement of storytime.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
