This love story is a scorcher! This was my first time reading an omegaverse tale. I loved how it primarily focused on Micah and Travis and the first few weeks of their relationship. The intense focus made for a smooth and simple introduction to this new universe of alphas and omegas. Just thinking about the sex makes me feel like this book should have one of those safety labels they place on flammable items. That said, this is not a ‘porn without plot’ type of book. The emotions of Travis and to a lesser extent Micah intensified the impact of every scene. So much love packed into such a uniquely beautiful book. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

Travis Whitehall is quick to help when he finds a young man unconscious in the National Park near where he lives. With the roads closed and weather conditions crazy, he has no choice but to take him to his home. Unfortunately when he arrives he realises the young man is a young omega in heat.
Micah Lipsky is on the run from his father and the man his father has been trying to sell him to. His plan was to hole up in the woods and ride out his first heat but the pain is more intense than he expected and knocks him out. When he wakes up he finds himself in the home of a man who is kind, sweet and is willing to help.
This was alright. There was steamy, albeit cliche, sex, little emotional development or conversation and a slight plot. The drama regarding the father and his business partner started okay but took a turn for the extreme when Peter returns for Micah. It was either too over the top for a sweet romance or not enough for a decent plot.
For the rest of the story it's mainly them having sex and falling in love. I would've liked to see more conversation but unfortunately that didn't seem to be a priority. Neither character is really fleshed out enough to make them interesting and it made it hard to really care about either of them. I would've liked to hear more detail about either characters family - but Travis' in particular. It would've rounded out the narrative a bit more but it is what it is.
