I had read the first two books, but it was back in 2020 when I was reading a lot of books, and hardly remembered them. This one was okay and a nice conclusion to the trilogy. ( )

After the tragic deaths of her husband Vernon, son Abe, and son-in-law Toby, Belinda's daughter Sylvia moves back in with her two children to assist in the greenhouse business. Someone is targeting the family and its business in a series of vandalism incidents. Son Henry is determined to get to the bottom of it. Belinda's daughter Amy is expecting a child. Sylvia plans to wed Dennis soon which will leave Belinda short-handed at the greenhouse. She may be forced to sell, perhaps moving to New York where son Ezekiel and wife Michelle live. Meanwhile two men vie for Belinda's heart. Belinda dated Monroe years ago but chose Vernon over him. Monroe, now a successful businessman, tries to win Belinda, but his bragging attitude annoys everyone. Widower Herschel owns a bulk goods store in a nearby community. He owns the farm Amy and Jared rent, and they help the relationship blossom by inviting all to their home at opportune times. Henry is the only child holding out on giving a blessing to his mother's courting. Both men pursue Belinda, and she knows when it is time to commit to the one God intends to be her second husband. Other story lines involve Maude, a woman living in a run-down home, who stole a couple of chickens from the family and Virginia, the red-haired English woman across the street who spies on the family and hates the smells of the country. Virginia would rather be back in Chicago with her friends, but her husband's job brought them here. I have not read earlier installments in the series, but I enjoyed this. Despite the series declaration this is a "mystery," the mystery elements are far smaller than the romantic ones. The plot bogs down in some places. As in most Christian fiction, several Bible verses are shared as characters share their faith with others. I received this book in a GoodReads giveaway. Reviews are not required but honest ones are appreciated. ( )

This novel is the last of a 3-book series called Amish Greenhouse Mystery. I honestly only read this book since I had read the first two. I was disappointed with the others because the story just ended, forcing you into reading all of the books if you wanted to know what happened. I appreciate the look into the life of some Amish people, but the story got tedious at times, and this book seemed to drag on longer than it needed to. There was too much unnecessary description that I felt was there simply to give the book length. I stuck with it though, just to see how it all ended. I was surprised by the ending and a little astonished at the quick turn-around some of the characters made in their lives. I was disappointed that one character simply disappeared from the story in this book. If you have read the other 2 books in the series, I'd recommend this one. ( )

The Amish Greenhouse series has two prior books that readers might enjoy reading, which are The Crow Call and The Mockingbird’s Song. The novels are about a family whose last name is King and the Greenhouse business they run in a building located behind their home. In the recent tale, the story revolves around the widowed mother, Belinda, and a couple of her grown children.
The family is experiencing vandalism to their business and Belinda doesn’t want to involve the law, even though the family has lost income. Sylvia and Henry, Belinda’s son and daughter, live with her and help run the home and business after they lost three members of the family two years ago. Henry desires to find the responsible person and confront them but has no idea where to look for clues though he has some suspicions about other characters in the book. Sylvia is widowed and with two small children when she meets a man who just might win her heart and bring joy back into her life.
Two men are vying for Belinda’s hand in marriage, Hershel is a widowed man and quite shy. The other man is Monroe who in his younger days courted Belinda until she chose another to marry. Throughout the novel, I kept trying to figure out who was responsible for the vandalism. Even though many names from the previous two books came to mind, the ending was a surprise. I enjoyed the different backgrounds crafted for the players in the book and the family interaction portrayed throughout the series.
There is a strong element of faith, hope and forgiveness in the books. The author does a great job with crafting the series and the mystery. However, I felt the ending in some places was rushed and a little unbelievable. I did enjoy the hope filled story and the Scriptures woven in the work of fiction. Readers might want to check out the other interesting books written by Wanda Brunstetter for hours of entertainment.

I love mysteries, so I was thrilled to learn that author Wanda E. Brunstetter was writing an Amish mystery series. Let me tell you, I haven't been disappointed! The three books in the the Amish Greenhouse Mystery series have centered around the King family, and we've watched them endure overwhelming tragedy, numbing grief, and repeated threats to their livelihood. Now, two years after the tragic accident that claimed three members of the King family, it appears that a brighter future is ahead.

Brunstetter fully understands the Amish way of life, and her introduction of mystery and suspense adds a pleasing element to her writing. The Robin's Greeting reveals the identity of the person responsible for vandalizing the King's greenhouse over the past two years, and I was totally surprised! I was also amazed to learn that there was a connection between the King family and the English neighbor who had always been so antagonistic toward them.

The Robin's Greeting is the perfect way to wrap up the Amish Greenhouse Mystery series, and I recommend it to all who enjoy reading about family, faith, and the Amish way of life.
