( ) This is one of those romance books that feature multiple romances. Usually, I prefer those stories concentrating on the main couple but in this case, the secondary romances were more interesting, so I'm glad they were included. Didi and Shay were teenagers in love when an incident broke them up. Thirteen years later, they meet again. Although there were contrivances put in their way (Didi is engaged and Shay meets someone else), they both secretly want to get back together. Yet I never felt much real connection between them. Thirteen years is a long time with a lot of life experiences to get in the way of a new connection but everything was too easy-peasy with them. The engagement and new romance never felt like a real hindrance. The older couple's romance was sweet but the real star of the book was Didi's friend Layla and her love. This was a much more fleshed-out story that was more interesting to me. I would have liked more time spent with them than with the main couple. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
