But then a man is found dead in a locked room (and the rain is causing severe isolating flooding) but the band members who had been in The War knew that it wasn't suicide. There is a lot of fun (including a bit about a city guy chasing a chicken around the kitchen to get eggs) and there is a rabbit warren of concealed doors and secret stairs to confuse things as they investigate everyone and everything. The story is really good and full of jazzy cant and references to musicians and films from America. I loved it!
