Blame it on the Tequila is somewhat of a slow burn, rock star, former step-sibling story with a complicated past. Parker and Nova both had struggles which colored the way they dealt with relationships and with life in general. I think it was a really good story, although I struggled a little bit to connect with the main characters. The relationship between the band members and both Parker and Nova was fun and I really enjoyed that part of the book the most. ( ) 4.4 stars There is just something special about the way that this author creates chemistry between her characters that gives them, and the story, additional dimension that I find that I love. From the beginning, when this author first introduced the blurb for this book, I was excited. After all, step-brother, and rockstar romance? Yeah, this had the makings of a perfect romance. I was right in assuming that because it gave me what I wanted and then some. I liked the push and pull between these characters as they fought against their feelings both in the past and in the future. There was angst and also a connection that could be felt in the soul. I liked that about Nova and Parker. I loved that he called her Supernova, as it might be one of my favorite pet names used in books. The steamy moments were hot. One, in particular, was so naughty and I LOVED it. There is no doubt that this author can write steam. However, as much as I did like the story, there were moments of disconnect for me, and that frustrated me, especially, in the beginning. It took me a bit to connect the way that I wanted but once I did then I loved the story. Much like the first book, this book gave me a sneak peek into what is coming for the next book of these interconnected stories and it has me looking forward to it because it is one of my guilty pleasures in regards to sub-tropes. Off-topic, I LOVE this cover. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
