This series has been one of my favorites but then I like everything that K C Wells writes:) The guys are all friends that first met in high school and have remained friends throughout the years afterwards. Each has his own story in the 7-book series ...which by the way Ms. Wells, is WAY too short. Ben finds that the gift shop where his interview is taking place is managed by his crush in high school that turned into his worse bully. Ben's feelings haven't changed for Wade and he's sure Wades opinion of him is also the same...but he's going to show Wade that he's a better man and go to the interview. This is a beautiful love story between two very different individuals who decide to leave the past in the past and move forward with one another. It is a happy ever after and an enemy to lover’s story. I enjoyed Ben and Wade’s story and could truly feel their connection. This was a sweet easy going read. Rather wholesome in it's drama and angst, always aiming for a nice realisation and resolution. I haven't read the first book but this seemed to stand on its own well enough. I liked all the friends well enough but I doubt I'll bother to pick up the rest of the series. Ben was alright - a bit too optimistic and happy for my tastes. I prefer my people more cynical. Wade was kind of an odd mash of hopeful and sad. I didn't really like him all that much. I wasn't a fan of his reasons for bullying. Although I recognise it takes strength to overcome your own insecurities and past behaviour and make amends. I just didn't love that it took him so long to actually step up. There relationship was very instalove for all they had a long past. It was very instalove and happy and wholesome. The kind of book I have to be in a specific mood for or I end up picking apart the ridiculousness and stupidity. But I was, so it was good - just not great. Hence the 3 stars. It's an acceptable read with enough love and happiness to make me smile. I loved Wade's mum and grandfather. They were hilarious. Their acceptance of Wade and Ben both separately and together was great - I liked the support they showed, support more people should give and have. The friends were nice - there were just way too many of them. I tended to just label them all as friends and let it go. I liked the advice they gave though - the advice about forgiveness and moving on was probably a hidden gem within this. Overall 3 stars. Romantics will love it. The more cynical will need to be in the proper mindset to enjoy. There was a lot going on with Ben and Wade’s backstory, and it took much of the book for them to even communicate and then went superspeed to love declarations. I think there was supposed to be a reasoning behind bullying here, but I wasn’t a fan. I’m glad that these two found an HEA and still look forward to continuing on with this series. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

This is a great series that represents friendship and realistic scenarios. It’s a great series to listen to on Audible, John Solo did a great job.
It usually takes me a while to get used to an audio book but with this series I did not. This was a series that I would even consider re-listening too. I would highly recommend it if you’re looking to listen to some LGBT romance.
