When we are surrounded by darkness, we have to make our own light."Really loved the colors and the cute art style. Buster is very much out of his element here with trying to protect his home, but some street cats, Chauncey and Nova, try to help him out. I enjoyed Chauncey and Nova a lot, especially their backstory. The showdown with the crows was one of my favorite parts. I thought the book was going to touch on Buster's owner having Overall, pretty cute. I would read a sequel geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
When Buster, Nova and Chauncey find a lost stray they take to the streets to find its old owner, but this strange cat turns out to be a ghost, and reuniting him with his lost owner is going to be a lot harder than they thought. Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |

The story is lighthearted with some poignant moments. We see the seasoned veteran cats Chauncey and Nova again, and they managed to make me tearful. No more spotlight on Buster’s owner than the first. Again, the thread of Buster’s owner having depression isn’t revisited.
Even though this book is geared toward kids, the emotional moments aren’t watered down. There’s also more action this around. With angry birds (*badum tsk*), a dog catcher, and those pesky spirits.
My only disappointment is the lack of noses. It adds a stylistic flare to the art, but I wish the eyes and the mouth weren't on the same line.
If this is the end of Buster’s story, then it was fitting. But I wouldn’t mind another story set in this universe.
