Ruth Krauss’ picture book is an excellent choice for toddlers. It has fun characters that a child can relate to their own family. This is a story of faith and perseverance in the face of adversity. The character is a young boy that has planted a seed and is taking care of it waiting for it to grow, while all those around him keep telling him it won’t grow. He never gives up and, in the end, he grows a giant carrot. The language is simple and repeating drawing in the young child’s attention. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

Opinion: This is a cute book that teaches kids to believe in themselves no matter what people tell them. It could start a conversation about believing in themselves. It’s also a pretty old story which is very cool. ( )
