This book doesn't have much plot and half of it was smut, but the main characters were really sweet together.

I ended up taking a week-long break early in the book because both main characters annoyed me at times. The fmc is thirty-years-old but she asked the mmc if she could get pregnant just from seeing him naked. That's just too ignorant to easily believe. I also didn't like how the mmc insisted on the Cyclopae wedding ceremonies when he really didn't care about them. He didn't live as a Cyclopae, and he was originally not going to insist upon them, but changed his mind after meeting the fmc. She was super shy and innocent, so that didn't make sense to me.

The Cyclopae wedding ceremonies were also in The King's Spinster Bride, but it made more sense in that book because Mathior was the leader of the Cyclopae and he wanted his bride to be acknowledged by his people. ( )

This was a warm and fuzzy monster romance. I think I am moving out of my enemies/haters-to-lovers phase and am getting comfy in the cinnamon roll/SBD life. Bring on all the MMC's who love to love!! ( )

Don’t know what to say. No real meat to this story. Basically just some over long sex scenes strung together on a couple of plot points. I generally enjoy this author. Turns out I don’t care for the stories in this series. I need more to a story about a human/orc marriage than insta love and formulaic sex scenes. ( )
