This story may be a novella but it packs a lot of emotions in it. We have Tilly and Oaks who were in love with each other and thought that maybe one day they had a future but some misunderstandings cost them everything. Oaks always thought that Til spent too much time taking care of the family inn and never had time for herself and Til thought that Oaks never took their relationship serious enough so when things ended it not only ended in heartache but in anger. Over the years they both stay away from each other as much as possible but they both neither really got over the other, no matter how much they tried. Years later Til is still struggling taking care of the family inn and knows it is past time to make renovations, yet she doesn’t want to go to the one guy who would be the best. When things are all said and done Oaks and Til have no choice but to work together, tension is high, the hurt and pain still lingers, but the love has and is still there. While they both try to figure out what happened to them in the past, face the future, and relearn about each other they fight and they love. I loved these two so much because they both were careful to let their guard down again yet they couldn’t’ see anyone other than each other.
