This series is packed full of emotions and suspense, but this one really kept me on the edge. Laiken and Boden’s story is no different from the others because it packs the emotional punch. With their histories both characters have suffered greatly and still do internally, yet when they click with each other it’s on a visceral level. As they navigate their grief, pain, and new attraction they find that the more they lean on each other the more intense things become and their guilt slowly eases. As the tension, heat, and suspense mounts up will Laiken let Boden in, and can Boden learn let his anger go? With all the emotional ups and downs, they also have a person that is out to get Laiken and her former friends, but what will happen if they don’t catch this person in time? Just when you think you have everything figured out and know the person behind it all the twists just keep coming and nothing is as it seems. I thought I knew what was happening and who the culprit was, but the author totally messes with your head in a great way. Another amazing story and I have a feeling Ramsey’s story will wreck us then mend us perfectly. ( )

I think this my favoite of this whole series. I loved the chronic pain rep and also the nice balance between romance andmystery there was not real troup present and accounted more just friends to more or just a slow burn!! I also loved the puppies in this book, i also loved seeing all the previous characters and thin this is def a new favoite!! ( )
