Little Red Omega and the Big Bad Wolf is a short story about Basil, a latent wolf shifter, and Chris, a wolf shifter who works at Animals. It’s told in first person from both Basil and Chris’ pov.



This is a fluffy quick read, a happy story which was exactly what I was looking for. The problem is that the story is very short. It only fills about half of the designated pages of the ebook. It was lucky I continued flipping pages at the end, because after advertising a different book, another shorter story started called, Candy Security. The second story appears to be happening concurrently with this one. After that story ends, the ebook is filled with ads for other books.

The blurb describes the plot pretty well so I won’t rehash it much. Basil goes with his best friend Darius to the Halloween party at Animals because Darius wants to find his mate. Turns out Basil finds his mate also. Chris is able to bring out the latent wolf in Basil. They also end up having a baby as usual, although that isn’t gone into as much detail as in the authors other mpreg books, which I was happy about.

I liked both the characters Basil and Chris and I could see them as a couple. The one problem I had was their voices sounded similar. I’ve noticed that happening while reading other books by these authors. The main characters almost always sound the same or if they start out sounding different, they gradually end up sounding the same. Distinctive voices are one of the areas they could improve on.

The instant love, find your mate trope worked well. I liked how the authors packed in fluffiness and a HEA into a short story. It was exactly what I wanted to read. I give Little Red Omega and the Big Bad Wolf, 4 Stars.
