This is a lovely book. The authors are the creators of Costurero Real in Spain and the samples of their work reflect both creativity and an eye for detail. There are instructions for some techniques such as French seams and resin and leather-work but they are somewhat skimpy for new sewers. There is also a brief section on re-sizing patterns, a subject that really needs greater depth for success. The star of the book is the fairy costume with the flowing cape that looks like butterfly wings. Truly gorgeous, but again, skimpy instructions. The authors recommend purchasing from Spoonflower or painting them on chiffon. The more basic patterns for a chemise, cloak, bodice etc look quite doable with basic sewing skills and tools. I really appreciate the inclusion of accessories with each outfit- the authors provide instructions for masks, some make-up suggestions and jewelry.
Full-size patterns are included in a paper envelope in the back.
