I wanted something quick and light and I have a Nora Roberts book pile, so I grabbed this one just to hold me over until I decide on my next book. And frankly, because I’m going to be reading Don Quixote soon and I know that’s going to take me a minute!lol

So, I’m reading along…the tension builds up, the pulse quickens and then: “Rockets.” – Yepp….just “rockets” as the first word to describe the internal pull of desire and lust felt. Maybe it’s been so so many years that I’ve read this type of romance that I was taken by surprise by “rockets”LOL – Then I looked at the publishing date and realized I must have been around 19 when I first read this book and thought it was “HAWT” 🙄

To make matters worse (and the point where I knew that I’m moving over to another book) was this: “There was probably nothing more tedious than a man a woman could trust unconditionally.” WHAT?!! NO! There is nothing sexier than a man (or woman) a partner can trust unconditionally!

The annoyance started to outweigh the sexy parts!

For those, who like me, love themselves some Nora Roberts, do not be discouraged by my gripe ….reading is situational as well as subjective…continue to enjoy her…she’s a great writer. I’m just not in the right head space or time of life for this right now. ...rockets! ok. ( )
