I would've given this book a 2.5 if available, but decided to round up. Pretty cute dePaola book about school (I used to teach) and Egypt (pretty interesting stuff),but not my favorite book of dePaola's. ( )

This book is cute and humorous. The illustrations are simple, but definitely fit the story. ( )

A book about a crocodile and his “toothbrush” (a bird named Pete) who go on a school field trip and thwart a jewel thief. Cute-ish, but not all that exciting. Definitely too “young” for my son; maybe it would be better for very young children. ( )
