The Accidental Mistress is the second book in the trilogy, and what a sweet story this one is. Not my favorite by the author, but still quite enjoyable. I really loved seeing this couple together, and its the type of story that you can just enjoy on a calm day, and I loved the style of this author once again....she has astounded me with her writing. I just can't seem to resist her books...each and every one is charming and this story was beyond delectable. I had fun with Ethan....such a bad boy he is....but sweet and tender too. He may be a rake of the highest order, but he also is soft as a marshmallow when it comes to Lily. A story to impress and delight you...and keep you coming back for more!! UTTERLY CHARMING!! ( )

Read this book twice. I had forgotten that I had already read it. This comes to the crux of the problem with this book. It has great characters and great scenes and talented writing, but it still fails to stand out from the many other historical romances. It feels like she came up with certain tableaus and then wrote the book to fill in around those moments.

I have immensely enjoyed her "Husband Test" series and did not find this to be a problem in those books. ( )

The second in the Mistress series, this is an enjoyable, engaging read. I really enjoyed how the charcters from the prior novel are part of this one as well in a significant way. ( )

Loved it, so far it is the best of the Trilogy. I loved the playfulness, I might have to go out and buy this one. This book made me smile on more then once. Lily and Ethan where enjoyable main characters.
