I am so sad that I had to let it go due to water/mold damage. ( ) Another of my favorite read-alouds in the library for preschoolers and early readers. Kent follows the wake of an extremely hungry cat who procedes to eat everyone in sight who spies him and comments that he "is SO fat." It has an catchy rhythm, varied and quirky characters, and a naughty, yet appealing cat, who gets his comeuppance at the end. It's a go-to read-aloud for me, with Jack Kent's stylized cartoon renderings of birds, little girls, old ladies, and assorted odd characters with silly sounding names. Recommended for school and public library collections. This book is about a cat who was told to watch the pot for the lady but ended up eating the lady and the pot. He eventually ate everything that he ran into and grew bigger and bigger every time he did and eventually one person said he wasn't going to eat him and cut his stomach up and released everyone that he ate. I liked this book it was an accumulative book and things kept adding up till he was done eating. The grade level for this would be 1-2nd grade. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
