The 'still' work looks extremely simple, but the diligent practitioner experiences that one can reach new levels of awareness of one's own body and mind through stillness. Daily practice of one or more of the exercises will give some good results, but the whole routine given in the book is highly beneficial. The exercises train the body and mind together. The practitioner comes to realize that all our efforts and mental, and the body follows the mind's directions.
The book contains nine Parts and four Appendices. The nine Parts detail the virtually movement-less work. The first three Appendices give directions for preparations for practice, diaphragmatic breathing, and savasana (corpse pose) relaxation. The fourth appendix summarizes all the exercises in the book with directions and diagrams. The fourth appendix is very useful for the complete routine of practice.
The disciples and students are eternally grateful to the Yogi, Spiritual Guru and Enlightened Master, His Holiness Swami Rama of the Himalayas. ( )
