This is a informational book about the first world war. The Usborne people made this book. They make a lot of educational books. This book talks about what lead up to World War 1 and what happened afterwards. They talk about everything from the women in the war to the pistols that the German officers had. It covers all parts of the war from Germany to Turkey. It also talks about what the French did to keep up moral. One of the worst parts of the book to read about is the gas attacks. It really talks about what it did and other stuff. Like I said it covers everything.
I really liked this book. This book was invaluable during my history day project. I did the Treaty of Versailles. I decided to read it again because it was so good. The Usborne company does a really amazing job capturing the whole war in this 100 page book. If it was me it would take 200 pages. This book also does a great job of getting pictures that capture the moment. One of the best pictures is one showing British troops blinded by gas. It never said if they would be able to see again. This is a great book that everybody should read since the schools don't teach us about the World Wars. ( )
