Autumn, Winter, Spring, and Summer - explore all four seasons inside a vernal pool, otherwise known as "Frog Heaven" in this book that captures the remarkable transformation of this area of land that "fills and dries out over the course of the year." ( ) This specialized book had a narrow focus that could be used essentially to study frogs in their natural habitat. Seasonal pond ecosystems could also be learned about through this book. The book is an advanced middle school to secondary school material. It has many great illustrations but also an extensive depth of information. The format is aided by chapters section heads and subheads as well as an index and a glossary. The only critique I could offer could also be interpreted as a compliment and that is that the book is fairly detailed and specific which is especially informative but may not hold the attention of younger students. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
