A good book for introducing and understanding a complicated conflict. Chapters are titled thus: What is the Israeli-Palestinian conflict? What is intifada? What is the PLO? Each chapter breaks into sections headed by more questions. Straightforward account of the history of the Holy Land. This book filled in all of the "holes" for me and allowed me to finally understand what is going on! What I really enjoyed about this book was its lack of opinions and theories. This is the history lesson you need to be able to form your own opinions. Mith Frank does a remarkable job of providing young and ESL readers an overview of the history and current state of conditions in the Holy Land. Sections of the twelve chapters begin with a question that help the reader develop a framework of the answers they can look for. A complete timeline, glossary and index make using the book for research even more accessible and informative. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
