REVIEW: This book was an enjoyable read for me, and I believe that it will be an enjoyable read for children as well. The illustrations are cartoonish, but not enough to take away from the meaning and history of the subject matter. For a relatively small book, it is packed with interesting information. It contains the main historical facts about the holiday and the Saint, as well as some interesting tidbits and legends that people have thought up over the years. Even though there is a lot of information packed into this book, it is written in a way that is easy to read and follow along with. ( )
