This book teaches children that you should never give up. The students liked this book because it was exciting, but should not be read to younger children because they could get upset when some of the geese get cooked.

This book is about Emily the goose who loves to do flips and loop-the-loops and play with her other geese friends. While Emily and her flock are migrating, she grows tired of playing in the sky so she decides to land and ends up on a farm. She loves the farm at first, but soon realizes that her new friends are getting cooked for dinner. So, she escapes the farm and flys back to the lake where her flock had migrated to. She is so happy to see her family but still loves to fly and play in the sky with her friends. I really liked this book because it has good pictures and focuses on bravery.

This book is about a goose that got tired of flying with the other geese, and dropped down into a farm. He feels like the life on the farm is really good, and he likes being taken care of. Then one by one some of the chickens are disappearing and then he decides to make a plan and that living on the farm probably isn't so good after all.

I would use this book with my students to teach why it is important to keep working hard and how the easier things don't always have the best outcome.
