Thinking I was in for a treat, I started reading The Scarlet Thread over Thanksgiving break. Alas. River's Christian novel seems more a work of personal therapy and predictable soap opera wrapped in a cloak of unexpected misogyny. Except for the journal of a pioneer woman, Scarlet Thread is quite unlike the very readable Unfailing Love. I'm happy to let Leota's Garden grow weeds. ( ) geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
