One reason I liked this book was for the illustrations and other extra textual features, such as captions. For example, when the author was trying to explain the size of a whale, there was an outline of the whale behind both the elephant and dinosaur so that you could see how enormous a whale actually is. Another reason I liked this book was for the way it was written. Informational books tend to have a bad reputation for being really boring. I thought that the author found a way to make the text more engaging and interesting to read while still providing all the information. For example, instead of just listing random facts about whales and dolphins, the author tried to turn them into a fun story. An example of this would be when the author was talking about the function of a whale's blowhole and instead of just saying that the blowhole closes after they go back into the ocean, the author says "Then, with a giant splash of his tail, he dives deep under the sea. His blowholes shut tight to keep the water out." The way the author wrote that information made it a lot more interesting. ( ) geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
