( ) A very funny autobiography by Bifgoot. This is not for kids, but it certainly for adults who are pop culture savvy. So funny though. Two favorite pages "Why Denis? Why?" and "If you going to chase, please no spray with Holy Water". The illustrations are fantastically appropriate for the subject matter. Bigfoot's struggles to find peace in a difficult world are truly legendary. Some, who are already biased against the Sasquatch for reasons of their own (though of course I would not be so crass as to name names) have ridiculed what to me is his greatest strength in this book - his ability to see and describe his own psychological issues, such as the chapter on his successful fight against obesity, not to mention the chapter that shed such light on where the infamous directors of Fight Club REALLY got their ideas from. His sensitivity as exemplified in the chapters, "you shitty cat" and "Why Denis Why?" cannot be overstated. Truly this is not just a bloodthirsty monster - he's an EMOTIONALLY SENSITIVE bloodthirsty monster. It is a travesty that LT is used by the pro-Yeti faction to drag out the old vendetta between mythical creatures for all of us to witness. I for one hope that they will grow up and take a good hard look at their own behavior. Sasquatch lives! geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
America's favorite crypto-zoological hominid is hilariously recast as the modern-day everyman, struggling with eating disorders, casual cannibalism, pop culture, and philosophical quandaries ("Me once believe in good. Now, no. World go shit, just like Bigfoot screenwriting career"). Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |
