Would you like to know how police catch criminals? Say there is a murder. The first thing that the investigators do is look for clues like blood and fingerprints. Then, they send it in to the forensic scientists. First, they'll look at the blood and for it's unique genetic code called DNA. Then, they look at the fingerprints and try to match it up on their computer files. If they get a match, they go find the person and arrest them.
This book explains all of that and much more through interesting real-life cases that really happened, but they changed some of the names.
I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn about the job of a forensic scientist.
This book even has a quiz at the end to see if you'd be a good forensic scientist. ( )
