It about one boys wonderment on if there are other people out there that aren't like him. You go on a journey of discovery through the eyes of a child. I think all kids have this wonder and could relate to this book even no days with all this technology. I believe this book would incite conversation and learning begins with a question. Personal Response: I remember wondering about other people in the world as a child. I enjoyed the illustrations, but I found the rhyming to be overdone. Curricular Connection: A third or fourth grade class could discuss what it feels like to meet new people. Should we be afraid of strangers, or welcoming? Children could invent their own stories about a group of people they've never met, living on the other side of the world. What might be different? What might be the same? Reading this book could open a discussion about diversity. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
