Daisy is as cute as a button and young children just love her and her independence. When Daisy is lost in the big, big pond and something moves beneath her and swoops above her, youngsters are riveted to the pages, hoping that Daisy will be alright. Which, of course (*spoiler alert) she is. Little Duck Daisy doesn't listen very well when Mama book tells her to stay close. A good cautionary tale about staying near your trusted grownups. Perhaps a good story to tell before going on a field trip? Also a fun example of a story with a build up of suspense before the welcome relief of a satisfying conclusion. I really appreciate how Jane Simmons reaffirms that Daisy has learned her lesson and s now going to do what her mother has cautioned her to do. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
