The Author of this book has been an elementary school teacher for years. This book teaches elements of binary code, teaches children how to write things in code. There is a demonstration of a flow chart with instructions on how a student may make one on their own. I liked the progression of the explanations that start out simplistic and then slowly advance. The illustrations will definitely help any student that may struggle with the concepts, the visuals are very helpful. ( )

I had a lot of fun reading this book and even thought back to times in Dr. Wright's class. This book had many layers of knowledge, peaked reader curiosity, and enabled discovery. This book addressed concepts like measurement, units, length, addition, and number coding. This is a great book for math learners. ( )

I thought that this book was absolutely wonderful! I will admit that the book does look a bit outdated, but the content is great. This book gives a thorough explanation of binary numbers in a step-by-step manner that makes it easy to follow along to. What I love most about this book, though, is how easily a teacher could base an entire lesson upon it. This book probably wouldn't be the best for most kids to peruse during independent reading time; however, I think that it would perfectly complement a middle school lesson on binary numbers. ( )
