Yet, I wondered as much as we have heard about him as a mathematician, what else is there to know about this famous man. This book was very enlightening in that it told me many things that I didn't know, and wouldn't think about Einstein. It tells stories of him as a school kid questioning and pushing the limits of what he was taught in the classroom. Many teachers did not like his probing because he appeared to be arrogant and disruptive. Few embraced his curiosity and eagerness to learn more. I often struggle with people getting the wrong impression when I ask too many questions in order to make sense out of what is being said. They, too, believe that I am trying to degrade them, but I truly just want to understand more. The book also talks about Einstein's fun personality when he wasn't so focused on the sciences - which wasn't very often. I wouldn't have taken him for a "funny guy", but for no reason. When you hear about him, it's usually about his works and not about his life outside of it. This was an enjoyable read. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
