Rival columnists Veronica Chasen and Dylan Stone are embroiled in a bitter and very public war in which they challenge each other to crazy feats such as bungee jumping and whitewater rafting. In the latest round, Ronnie finally has Dylan stumped when she dares him to learn to knit. That is until Dylan shows up at Ronnie's knitting circle with a counter-challenge - teaching him to knit. Soon the two have more than yarn wrapped around their fingers . . .

This book is simply adorable.

Ronnie and Dylan have amazing chemistry and their banter is witty and funny. While Ronnie initially comes across as acerbic and prickly, it is impossible not to empathize with her backstory once it is revealed. Dylan is sexy and smart and one cannot help but admire a man who is willing to put his machismo aside and learn to knit.

The secondary characters are a mixed bag, however. While Gage and Julie are very compelling (I've since read and enjoyed their book), Grace and Zach are not as appealing.

Moreover, the inclusion of aunt Charlotte's magical spinning wheel is unnecessary as it adds little to either the plot or characterization.

Overall, a wonderfully light and entertaining read. ( )

Cute book with great main characters and nice dose of steamy sex. I would have given this 4 stars if it wasn't for the ending. ( )

No, this books was not for me. True, I stopped halfway through, but I really didn't have the strength to plough to the end. The only good thing in this book was the challenge, after that everything went flat. (No, sex isn't "the cure-all".) I like books where I can identify with the female protagonist or at least undestand her. Veronica, I didn't even like. And what's with the magic? It was like a saddle on a pig. No.
Shortly: it wasn't sexy. It wasn't funny. It was boring. ( )

Superb Plot and really good humour involving Weired Tattos,Bungee Jumping and not to forget Knitting. Ever met a man spending time learning to knit with his sworn -off enemy.Well,let me introduce you to Dylon and you will know how to have fun while knitting. Ever met a woman so uptight that you want to throttle her and ask,what's wrong with you- then you must meet Veronica. ( )

Veronica Chasen was disappointed when Dylan Stone beat her out for the prime columnist position on The Cleveland Herald, thus forcing her to accept a similar but inferior position with a rival paper. From small remarks in the columns the gloves came off in public as they challenged each other to things like bungee jumping getting a tattoo as they tried to force the other to wimp out. Then Ronnie dares Dylan to something she is sure will keep his masculine pride from accomplishing, learn to knit and complete a project. Dylan accepts the challenge and shows up at her weekly knitting club for lessons. The group lessons change to one-on-one lessons and things heat up between the two. The book, a cute read, is a cross between chick lit and erotica, or as my knitting club calls it “knitting porn”. One book is enough, I probably won’t read the sequel ( )
