I enjoy looking at these books because I feel I can use these in my classroom without going this was from a chick-lit book on how to get woman to succeed as I feel this is something that anyone male or female could read and take the examples and activities to move ahead. Not everyone is a straight a-type male so this could help anyone as there are woman out there who are exactly a ball-busting male-type person who can succeed and then there are people who need books like this to help them get ahead. This book is very informative. Great for any woman at any point in her career looking to make some changes/improvements to her career. It includes a lot of great information, examples, and useful tips that can be applied immediately. I'm really happy I was able to review this book, and will start applying what I learned to my own career. A great business book for women. ( )

I always have an issue with books that tell me that the key to my success is learning to act like a man. That said, this book wasn't that, but the advice wasn't earth shattering. I did like the activities and worksheets. ( )

This book is brilliant. Seriously. Between the straight advice, quizzes, helpful hints, and so forth, this not only offers great advice, but makes it actionable for the reader in meaningful and personal ways. This book shed light on some questions I have had for ages, as well as helping me recognize specific aspects of my work that I can adjust to make me more effective in the workplace. A must-read for any woman serious about her career. ( )
