One of my favorite themes in romance has to be the one about second chances. There's just something about them, ya know? This is probably the reason why I enjoyed reading about Mandy and Beau so much.

If you love cowboys, you'll definitely love Beau. He's sexy, wild, passionate about what he likes and loves. And I could really see he truly loved Mandy, enough to sacrifice himself to keep her safe. That's one of the reasons I liked him. The other one is that he is a man of his word. He made some promises to Hank, Mandy's uncle, and he never broke them. Besides that, he is funny.

Mandy never really got over Beau. She might think she did, but she really still loves him. She has some hurt bottled up inside, not just over Beau, but her family also. I felt like she would to... explode or something. I don't know, I was expecting her at some point to scream, kick, yell, whatever. But she didn't act like a brat, she acted like an adult the whole time and I respected her for that. She sacrificed herself and her dreams to work for her father, a job I don't really think she wanted or enjoyed.

I loved the fact that it wasn't some "oh, we've been here before, let's hook up again for old times' sake" kind of story. Both Mandy and Beau had some growing up to do before getting back together and they both needed to say and hear some things.

I really enjoyed reading Her Heart for the Asking and I can't wait to read the other books in this series. You should try it out, the book was good. ( )

This is the first book I’ve read written by Lisa Mondello and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed her writing, it is easy to read, character development was well written and the history and romance between Beau and Mandy was exciting.

Mandy is on her way to Texas to visit her Uncle Hank who is sick, hoping Mandy can convince him to have heart surgery. Mandy left Texas 8 years ago and has never returned after the man she loved choose the rodeo over her. Standing in the airport waiting for her uncle to pick her up in walks Beau. She cannot believe Beau is back in Texas and why would her uncle ask him to pick her up?
Beau who has been keeping a secret all these years knows this may be his last chance at winning back the only woman he ever loved.

This story has hot cowboy (one of my favorites), deep regrets, and true love and of course to make the story all that much better some added suspense and deep dark secrets.

I would recommend Her Heart for the Asking to anyone who loves to sit back and relax with their feet up reading a fantastic romance novel. This is the first book in The Texas Hearts series and will continue to keep track of this series and Lisa Mondello novels.

I have rated this novel 4 stars as I love well written romance novels. Lisa will definitely be added to my list of favorite authors.

I love reading Lisa's books, they are so touching and inspire you to go find your own cowboy. The writing is crisp and clean and makes the characters seem almost approachable.
In this installment in the series Mandy and Beau are lost loves. They broke up 8 years ago because Beau left to be a rodeo star. Mandy feels that Beau left her behind but he feels that she never asked him to stay. Mandy and Beau explore a friendship that later leads to much more. It takes a lot of love and hope to fix the rift that was created years ago by two stubborn people. Along the way they learn a few secrets and share a few tears but in the end it makes their love better.
I enjoyed reading the book. It is a great weekend read. If I could change one thing about it, I think it would be the predictably. I like dependable reads but I felt that I knew what was going to happen before the book even ended. It is the one thing that I am not crazy about with contemporary romances but I still enjoy reading it.
The characters are friendly and lovable. I like Mandy but I think that she is too stubborn for her own good sometimes. I think that if she had taken the time to actually talk to Beau 8 years ago things would have been different.
I loved the story with Uncle Hank. It was very touching and I was happy to see Mandy and Hank reconnect.
I think that this is a good start to the series and I look forward to reading the other installments

The story centers around Beau Gentry and Mandy Morgan. Mandy thought she wouldn't ever return to Texas after Beau left her for the Rodeo circuit. But her Uncle Hank is sick and her mom encourages her to try to talk some sense into her Uncle.

Beau picks her up at the airport and sparks fly. As they learn about each other after 8 years, and as she begins to understand who her uncle really is things begin to change for Mandy. Is is possible to find love again after being so hurt?

This is a quick and sweet read. It's the first of a series. Book 2 is "His Heart for the Trusting", Book 3 is "The More I See" and Book 4 is "Gypsy Hearts". ( )
