Best and clearest explanation I've ever read for detox programs. He covers all the physiological information in a very accessible way. ( ) Interesting reading but I can't really rate it higher without having followed the program. I am intrigued since I have health problems that may benefit from a cleanse so I may give it a try. Much of the information on inflammation is not new to me as I am an avid reader of books by Dr Joel Fuhrman, Dr Esselstyne, Dr McDougall, etc. Unfortunately, you can't find two who agree on all points which makes it difficult to know who to follow. I enjoy watching my friends magically shrinky-dink in a month when they do this cleanse. It is a solid way of eating and healing the body of all sorts of ills. The cardiologist MD author used it to heal his own depression and irritable bowel syndrome. Almost identical to Mark Hyman's work, but as they both practice Functional Medicine, that makes sense. Junger's writing style and the story of his own healing journey makes a more entertaining read, which tends to be more motivational. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
