The Big Book of Alpha Tales consists of 26 stories that are each based on a specific letter. The books provide children with a silly story for each letter and a lot of repetition of sounds. At the end of each story, there is a letter chant to review the story and given children the opportunity to join along. There is also a large picture at the end of the story where children can locate objects that begin with the specific letter. These stories provide children with specific practice with each letter and sound, but also gets student involved by having additional activities at the end. ( )
